I had heard so many good things about Essie but had always thought that nothing justifies spending £7.99 on a nail polish. I finally decided to suck it up and find a colour that I could wear with anything. After going to three central London Boots stores and still not finding one that had Essie in stock, I nearly gave up and took it as a sign from the universe that my money would be better spent elsewhere. But then I went into Superdrug on the Strand and the lovely shop assistant pointed to the vast array of colourful bottles in the corner. I was sold.
I absolutely loved the choice of pastel colours they had on offer but thought that they would be better suited to spring. I also contemplated a nice autumnal burgundy but I have so many deep red nail polishes already. I finally settled on something from their neutral range, Tea and Crumpets.
Essie describes it as a subtle and frosted beige and I loved the sheen that it had to it. It went on like a treat and I put on an extra layer as I felt that it was a little too see through with only one layer.
It inspired me so much that I immediately went to Tesco and bought a pack of crumpets to munch on with a cup of tea as soon as I got home!
