This is my final blog post from my trip to India, and I’m currently in my flat in London, staring out of the window at a sky that has gone dark way too quickly and contemplating putting the heating on. It is still good to be home though!
Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a temple of Shiva in Mylapore and is absolutely covered in statues of peacocks as Shakti worshipped Shiva in the form of a peacock.
The detail on the ceilings was amazing
Unfortunately we were not allowed in the inner walls of the temple as you have to be Hindu but we got a good view from the outside and were able to sit and people watch for awhile.
